Homework Club
Our Very Active Homework Club!

Not only do the boys get help and support when completing their homework each evening, but every pupil who signs up to homework club, receive a hot cooked meal and access to the junior yard and indoor hall each evening for games, challenges, group walks and sports.

Every Friday the pupils and Homework Club staff don their high visibility vests and go for an invigorating walk in the surrounding area.

GAA
Every Tuesday we develop our skills in Gaelic Football with Alan. We are making great progress. Alan encourages all students to get involved with the local G.A.A clubs.
Our School Football Team:
Our school football team plays in the Westmeath Cumann na mBunscol competition each winter. We play in 11 aside games and this year is the first year we were able to field two teams. Training sessions take place after school on the green in the Battery Heights. Everyone from 4th, 5th and 6th class is welcome to join.
Rugby
Every Thursday for 6 weeks we develop our skills in Rugby with Charlie. We are making great progress. Charlie encourages all students to get involved with the local Rugby club Buccaneers RFC
All the boys have been enjoying the lessons, learning handling skills, running skills, tag tackling skills and footwork. Carmello in 5th has been teaching us the Haka, while everyone else has been giving their best Robbie Henshaw impersonation. It has been great to see all the boys try something new and it has even become a weekly featured sport at lunch time.
Soccer
We also enjoy soccer lessons with Denis. Many of our pupils are members of local Soccer teams which are linked here.
We also play an in-school tournament throughout the year, whereby pupils from every class are picked on 5 aside teams to compete in two grades; Senior Gym and Junior Gym. In this highly contested tournament, pupils get to hone their skills while playing with boys from different classes all with rewards at the end of the year on Sports Day. All are welcome to join.
From Spring to Summer the school also competes in the SPAR FAI Primary Schools 5s Programme having even reached the National Finals representing Leinster in 2016
