2nd Class
A snapshot of 2nd class from September to December 2023
The boys settled in well to the Dean Kelly. We spent a lot of time getting to know each other in the classroom during September and October. The boys joined the local library and made monthy library trips to borrow books. They started 'Fit for Class' Athletics programme. The boys enjoyed the different games on the programme. We spent some time in the kitchen making rice krispie buns. During Advent, the boys made promises in preparation for Christmas. They took part in the school chess competition in December. Our last big project before Christmas was making a video time capsule. The boys really enjoyed this experience and are already looking forward to seeing themselves again in 6th class.
2nd class are very proud to be one of the best classes for attendence this term. We have lots of exciting things happening in 2nd class for next term.

4th Class
Have a lovely Mid-term, from everyone in 4th Class.
5th Class
Fifth Class had lots of fun since Christmas. We enjoyed trips to the library, creative writing, Gaelic, making pancakes and lots more! We are looking forward to our trip to the Titanic Experience next week!
6th Class

Special Education Classes
The Special Education Team consists of Ann Connaughton, Carla Browne, Ollie Connaughton and Sandra Lennon.
The role of the team is to provide support through team teaching initiatives, early intervention and small group or individual support. This support may take the form of in-class support or withdrawals.
The Special Education Team work closely with the classroom teachers to plan their interventions carefully to address pupils’ priority learning needs. Our bright and colourful classrooms provide a welcoming and stimulating learning environment for children.
Members of the Special Education Team also help organise and co-ordinate certain initiatives within the school including Green schools, quizzes inside and outside of school and sporting activities.
